Stael English

Trinity College London

Language Lab

The student may have independent practice sessions at the Language Lab. The Internet-connected computers allow the students to continue practicing English even after class has finished.

The assistance provided to the students has the objective of orienting them towards the sites with activities such as examinations, practice focused on particular grammatical issues; radio stations with international news, sports; songs with the lyrics; pages where one can practice pronunciation, and, of course, readings about a vast variety of subjects.

Students may also listen to interviews with world level personalities, political speeches, and a variety of material that allows them to enhance from an intermediate level to an advanced level.

Activities for beginners are also very enriching, since the students may practice with the CD-roms of the book being used in class. This helps to reinforce what was learned in class. Or they can simply visit sites that allow them to revise what has been learned. For example, students may access situational dialogues, like ordering in a restaurant, or making a hotel reservation.

Children have a vast variety of language CD- roms to choose from, containing games, songs, stories, and conversation.
